This
gift is the supernatural ability given by God to certain
believers to understand the immediate and long range
goals of a particular, or multiple units of the Body of
Christ and to develop and implement effective plans for
the accomplishment of those goals
Apostle
– 1 Corinthians 12:28 – 30 Associate
Ministers, Deacons, and Deaconess
The
Greek meaning behind the term “apostle” means the
same as the term “missionary” and often linked to
church planting. The gift of apostle is the supernatural
ability God gives to certain believers to preach the
Word of God and start churches in areas that have not
previously heard the Gospel and also assume and exercise
general leadership over a number of churches with
extraordinary authority in spiritual matters that is
recognized and willingly accepted by those Pastors and
churches.
Discernment

God
given, supernatural ability to confidently and
accurately know whether certain behavior said to be of
God is in reality satanic, fleshly or divinely inspired.

The
gift of evangelism is the supernatural ability God gives
to certain believers to convincingly preach or share the
gospel with non-believers which yields a positive
response as evidenced by acceptance of Jesus Christ as
Lord and Savior.
Exhortation

The
gift of exhortation is the supernatural ability God
gives certain believers to speak effective words of
encouragement, comfort and/or counsel to other members
of the Body, which yields an emotional and/or spiritual
uplift.
Faith
– 1 Corinthians 12:8 – 10
Prayer Ministry, Giving
Campaigns
The
gift of faith is the supernatural ability of God gives
to certain believers to understand with extraordinary
confidence the will, purpose and plan of God based upon
God’s character exhibited in the past, present and
future. This person sees what God wants done and is able
to sustain unwavering confidence that God will do it,
regardless of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
Giving
– Romans 12:6 – 8
Finance Ministry (Pastor

God
given supernatural ability to liberally and wisely
contribute financial and other resources to the work of
the Church, without pretense or ulterior motives and
with simplicity or purity of mind. The person with this
gift gives freely and with delight.
Healing
– 1 Corinthians 12:8 – 10; 28-30 Parish
Nurse Ministry; Prayer Ministry
The God
given ability to restore health and/or cure sickness
outside of medical or herbal means. This gift does is
not one that heals every illness; does not depend on the
sick person’s faith; and does not account for all
healing.

The
gift of helps carries the meaning of assistance to
others. The person with this gift is one who lends a
hand to others in the Body of Christ, such that it
allows that person to focus on their own spiritual
ministries. This then strengthens and heartens the one
who is helped. They fill in whenever and wherever they
can.

Supernatural
ability God gives to some believers to make known the
message of one who speaks in tongues.
Word
of Knowledge (Knowledge) – 1 Corinthians 12:8 – 10
Teaching Ministry

Ministry
This
spiritual gift is one that enables the believer to
search, systematize and summarize data as well as the
teachings of the Word of God. This allows them to
acquire deep insight into divine truth. When spoken or
shared with those in the Body of Christ it brings
edification.

The
supernatural God-given ability to perform acts, which
may or may not be deemed “spectacular”, but cannot
be considered “ordinary”.

The
gift of mercy is the supernatural ability God gives to
certain believers to feel and express authentic,
Christ-like compassion toward those in need and/or
suffering.
Pastor
(Pastor/Teacher; Shepherd) – Ephesians 4:11 Power
of 12 Ministry
This
gift is the supernatural ability given by God, to
certain believers to assume the responsibility for
shepherding and caring for a group of believers, thus
the person with this gift does not have to be a pastor.
One could be over a group of men, women, youth group or
other group.
Prophecy

Ministry
This is
the supernatural ability given by God to speak forth a
timely message from the heart of God to His church or to
members of the Body of Christ.
Teaching

This
spiritual gift is one that enables believers to
accurately and thoroughly communicate the scriptures in
a manner they can be understood by the intended
receiver.
Tongues
– 1 Corinthians 12:6 – 8; 23-30 Evangelism;
Prayer Ministry
The
gift of tongues is the supernatural ability God gives to
communicate in an “unknown” tongue or in “other”
tongues. Thus giving the ability to speak in a language
one has never learned.
Word
of Wisdom – 1 Corinthians 12:8 – 10 Teaching
Ministry, Pearls of Esther (Women’s Ministry), Men of

This
gift gives one the ability to relate spiritual truths to
the needs and problems of life.
